The plot of Killer Elite revolves around a man named Danny, played by Jason Statham, who is forced out of retirement when his mentor Hunter, played by Robert De Niro, is kidnapped by a wealthy sheikh. The sheikh demands that Danny assassinate the three former British special forces soldiers who killed his sons during the Dhofar Rebellion in Oman.
As Danny sets out to fulfill the sheikh's demands, he realizes that he is being manipulated and that the men he is targeting are actually innocent. He teams up with a fellow operative, played by Clive Owen, to uncover the truth and take down the shadowy military society pulling the strings.
