As the five women make their escape, they are faced with challenges and obstacles along the way. The four hardened convicts, led by the ruthless Tanya, are determined to stay free at all costs and will do whatever it takes to evade capture.
Meanwhile, the fifth inmate, Sarah, who was wrongly convicted of a crime she didn't commit, is not as willing to resort to violence. She tries to convince the other women to stick together and avoid hurting anyone else. This creates tension within the group as they struggle to stay one step ahead of the pursuing authorities.
As the women journey through the remote wilderness, they encounter various characters who either help or hinder their escape. Some are sympathetic to their plight, while others are opportunistic and looking to cash in on the reward for their capture.
The authorities, led by a determined detective, are closing in on the fugitives, and the women must make difficult choices as they fight to survive and stay free. In the end, they are forced to confront their pasts and decide what kind of future they want for themselves.
