In Buffaloed, Peg Dahl is a quick-witted and street-smart hustler who dreams of getting out of Buffalo and making a better life for herself. She gets involved in the world of debt collecting, where she discovers her talent for negotiating and collecting money from debtors. Peg quickly rises through the ranks in the industry, but soon finds herself in over her head as she becomes entangled with a ruthless and cutthroat debt collecting queenpin.
As Peg navigates the dangerous world of debt collection, she must also contend with her complicated relationships with her dysfunctional family, including her loving but overbearing mother and her estranged ex-con brother. Along the way, Peg learns valuable lessons about loyalty, friendship, and the true cost of chasing after the American dream.
