The retired hitman, named Frank, reluctantly agrees to take care of the teenage girl, named Mathilda, while her friend is away. Mathilda is troubled and has a history of getting involved with the wrong crowd. Frank tries to keep Mathilda on the straight and narrow, but he soon realizes that she is in danger from a group of violent teenagers who have been terrorizing the neighborhood.
After a confrontation with the gang, Frank and Mathilda return home to find that the gang members have been killed. Frank is immediately suspected of the murders and he realizes that Mathilda has been taken by the true killers. Frank is forced to use his skills as a hitman to track down Mathilda and take down the people responsible for the killings.
As Frank pursues the kidnappers, he also learns more about Mathilda's troubled past and the reasons why she ended up in his care. Frank quickly realizes that he has become emotionally attached to Mathilda and he is willing to risk everything to keep her safe from harm.
