The film is set in contemporary times and follows two best friends, Valentino and Proteus, who decide to leave their small hometown of Verona and move to the bustling city of Milan. They are both eager to experience life beyond their cozy town and find excitement, adventure, and perhaps even love.
Upon arriving in Milan, the two friends quickly fall in with a group of young people living life to the fullest. They party, explore the city, and meet a variety of interesting characters. But everything changes when they both fall for the same girl, Sylvia, who is beautiful, smart, and confident. Sparks fly as the boys both try to win her heart, and tensions rise among the friends as they become rivals.
Meanwhile, a subplot in the film follows Julia, Proteus' long-time girlfriend who didn't want him to leave and is struggling with their long-distance relationship. Her journey takes her down a path of self-discovery as she learns that she is more than just a supporting character in Proteus' life.
Throughout the film, the themes of friendship, loyalty, and love are explored as the characters navigate their emotions and conflicting desires.
